€5 “Lithuania’s Road to Independence”

Coin dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuania’s independence (from the series “Lithuania’s Road to Independence”)

On the obverse of the coin is depicted the stylized coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania, surrounded by the inscription “LIETUVA” (Lithuania) at the top, the face value (€5), the year of issue (2015), and the mint mark of the Lithuanian Mint.

On the reverse of the coin is depicted a boat with a sail shaped like a bird’s wing, the tricolour flag of Lithuania, and a musical excerpt from the national anthem. The inscription “NEPRIKLAUSOMYBĖS ATKŪRIMAS 25” (Restoration of Independence 25) is arranged in a semicircle.
